Hey guys, welcome to the MOC of the Week Section. Future MOC selections will be taken from our BrickUltra Flickr group so you can join that here: CLICK HERE. This week we’ll be featuring the “Legends of Brickdom Challenge Part 1 – Uncovering Answers” created by Flickr user K.Kreations.

MOC of the Week - Legends of Brickdom Challenge

Here’s what the creator had to say about the MOC:
A cloudy day finds to cloaked travelers winding along a rocky path. A dark river rushes down below the steep cliff faces as they make their way towards a worn down bridge. The sight beyond is far from welcoming. Dilapidated houses and crumbling stone work, and the equally eerie bodies of their past occupants. But, this is the place they want to be, this is where they can find the answers…

This is Part 1 of my entry into the Legends of Brickdom Global Adventure Challenge

Phew, I’m glad to have finally finished this one. And I’m glad to say I consider it my best work in Castle Fantasy yet. Halfway through the build I had to break for a week long trip into the Wind River Mountain range in Wyoming. It was a great experience and I learned a lot about how mountains and nature should look, and I came back with great ideas for building with. Over the course of this build I think I found my “style”. I think it is the right mix of smooth and studded, worn down and alive. The hardest part has to be the rockwork. It appears to be vertical but almost half of it is on a slant created by hinges. Credit for the Bridge goes to Derfel Cadarn and credit for the roof technique goes to Simon S. I’ll be working harder on getting my builds out faster through the rest of the summer. 🙂 -Kyle
