Hey guys, Taylor here. In this weekly section I feature my favorite Lego MOC of the week, chosen from a number of entries in our Flickr group.

This week I’ve chosen to feature the big and beautiful “Portal to the Skylands“, by K.Kreations.

Here’s the description that was written with the pic.

“Found deep within the forests of Dragsvold on the edges of the Iron Mountains lies the ruins of a once thriving Mage Temple. Origionally used by the Elder Mages to make visits to the Skylands it fell to ruin when the younger mage turned of Dragsvold. With the help of Grandreil the mage Kyle and his loyal friend Peter have located one of the lost portals. The portal is guarded by an ancient species known as the Gavri. Many believe them to be angels. With blank white skin and golden weapons the guardian makes sure none who aren’t worthy pass through. As the two adventurers aproach a mighty creature emerges from the treees. The Wyvern is an intimidating sight. After discussion with the guardian he deems that their cause is worthy. Grandreil suspects that Oooflin could be arousing an army of evil in the Skylands and wishes to find out. And so, our adventurers take a journey to the lands above…..”

This is quite a large MOC, built with two 32 x 32 baseplates. I love the natural look of the MOC, not using bright colors or anything. I also love the transition from land and plants to the temple ruins, I couldn’t have done it better myself. The minifigs are cool too 🙂

I can only imagine how long this took to build. I’d never have the patience (or the pieces 🙁) to build this whole thing.

All in all I think it’s a very well-built, well-designed, detailed MOC. And I hope K.Kreations doesn’t stop 🙂

Please remember to enter your MOCs in our Flickr group for a chance to be featured here on BrickUltra, and have a fun summer!!! 😀

(Wow I used a lot of emoticons didn’t I?)
