Lego Batman – The Joker

That1LegoKid: Youtube

This is the first work I’ve ever seen by That1LegoKid, and needless to say, I was extremely impressed. Finally a Batman LEGO film that isn’t a complete slam comedy, but doesn’t take itself too seriously. I haven’t seen a Batman flick pulled off this well in a LONG time.

One of the first things I noticed was how well done the voice acting is. Seriously, amazing job and props to the actors. I am particularly a fan of the Joker’s voice. It’s more of a throwback to Mark Hamill’s Joker voice from the 90’s animated series, as opposed to most people trying to imitate Heath Ledger’s. Pretty much all the tech. aspects of the film were decently well done. There were some spots of sub-par animation, but other stronger points made up for those. The story line was fairly generic, but it is Batman, and it still held up throughout the whole film, so no complaints here.

Overall, it’s a surprisingly well done Batman film. It’s hard to come by films based off of a series without them being horribly cliche, and this film definitely holds it’s own. It’s great to see a well done film by an unknown film maker… so go check it out, and support the That1LegoKid!
