In this section we help promote LEGO Cuusoo idea’s to help them reach the 10,000 likes needed for their idea to get created! This week we feature the idea called Marvelous natural power II created by HonDa. Here’s what the creator had to say about the idea:
“My name is Honda Chen, major in art. I am very obsessed with expressing nature power. Since I happened to know LEGO two years ago, I have been very enthusiastic about creating my artwork by using LEGO Bricks. The paint bushes that I used to have, therefore, are replaced by the LEGO Bricks. It is so fascinating and original to express natural disasters by laying the LEGO Bricks one by one, which seems to be absolutely aligned with the most realistic disaster scenes in my mind.
With regards to the LEGO products, the primary impression is artificiality and in good condition. However, the different possibilities of LEGO can be seen in my two serious of artworks about nature power which seem to make the LEGO more natural, free, and maybe more complete.
Rationale of Post-Disaster-
When I played with the toys in my childhood, the whole bunch of toys were like a battlefield. My favorite toy would always be the most powerful which was able to beat others. Therefore, the poor toys were left destroyed or destructed. This is also how we treat the nature nowadays. If we can start to think of Post-Disaster, maybe we could face to the whole world in a more positive way. Hence, three marvelous imaginations are made regarding three natural disasters. Maybe the disasters are not brought by the nature.
The ideas of rising lands caused by a fault stem from the pride stone in Lion King which stands for harmonious and thriving coexistence with nature. However, how can we make it?
More Green/Melting Ice Cap-
What does “more green” mean? Does it mean more environmental or more green lands? Actually I am not sure, so do the poor penguins. Anyway, global warming truly can make the earth “more green”!
Say Goodbye To HOLL _ _ OOD/Landslip-
A great quantity of special effects about disasters in movies make us become insensitive to the real disasters. It is time for us to go back to a realer place.
p.s. It’s in 3D.!
The possibilities of LEGO Bricks seems will not end and this is why it is still widely popular among people. It might be more fascinating if it can show more realistic sides of the world and nature.”
