In this section we help promote LEGO Cuusoo idea’s to help them reach the 10,000 likes needed for their idea to get created! This week we feature the idea called “Built Anatomy” created by KmyRug. Here’s what the creator had to say about the idea:

How many people would love to own a LEGO Skull? But where can you get the instructions or necessary pieces to build one that looks almost real? Nowhere! So, I am building an anatomically correct human body with parts that open to show internal structures. LEGO currently has nothing like this. There is a high demand for learning these round building and SNOT techniques. And building these pieces would both teach anatomy and physiology and unlike standard anatomy models, it is in the building that true understanding would take place.

Please Leave a Comment and let me know what you think of this concept. I noticed there are very few sets that are intended to educate our youth. It would be nice to see sets that build something worth understanding. I am sure parents everywhere would jump at the chance to buy these sets for their little LEGO enthusiasts. What Parent Doesn’t want their son’s or daughter’s to grow up to be doctors? Different sets will include: Skull, Brain, Heart, Lungs, Liver, Kidney, Intestines, Ribs, Spine, Arms, Hands, Legs, Feet Etc. With the addition of every new set the result will be an entire Human Model. (Reproductive, muscular, nervous and lymph systems will be omitted.)

Open and Dis-assembled
I imagine the sets would cost $20-$40 and would be broken up for wide appeal. The Full Set could be offered together as an Ultimate Collectors Set for around $430. Less popular sets could be offered in limited supply like the intestines. I Really see the Medical community wanting these sets as they relate to their specific fields. A Cardiologist could have a Heart displayed in his Office and a Chiropractor a Spine in his own, Podiatrist – Feet, Brain Surgeon…) Or they would be great gifts for Doctors and Medical Students.

Skull -$40
Brain -$25
Heart -$20
Lungs -$30
Stomach -$25
Intestines -$35
Liver and Kidney -$35
Spinal Column -$40
Arms and Hands -$40
Rib Cage – $35
Hips- $30
Legs and Knees- $40
Feet -$35

Give me a Hand! or I will just give you a picture of this one!

If you think this would be a truly awesome build, Support it so I can someday finish and you can buy one of your own. If you don’t love it – leave a comment and tell me why.

This is not your Brain; THIS is Your Brain on LEGO! (Eyes added for effect)
Color Coded Lobes and Ganglia.

I am Working on better pictures… there is a way to do this I just haven’t figured it out yet!

A caged heart still Beats. Ultimately this will be a Horizontal Model. The spine will rest on the floor and the ribs will contain and support the organs within. This Sternum and rib “lid”, Top it off. I have named him “Melvin” and plan to have him finnished by New Years! Thank You.

Actually, it’s expensive but quite the idea! Parents would love this, and kids would still love to accept the kids just for the parts if they hate being educated. (Those kids need serious help) But I reckon it’s a terrific idea! Good luck!
